We know you may be missing the Union Meeting House and the Summer Series as much as we are, but the Events Committee of the RUMH has some good news for you. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we are still just as determined to bring the community together and highlight all that this historic building has to offer. We have brainstormed ways of harnessing today’s technological advancements to bring performances into your humble abode. Be assured that we will be following CDC and State of Maine guidelines as we bring these performances to you. The few people who will actually be in attendance at the Meeting House will be following specific practices that have been shared with and approved by state officials. This event is not open to anyone not involved in the production of it and thus, the Meeting House is closed to all others.
A few performances will be held this summer will be broadcast live on the RUMH Facebook Page and later uploaded on the Readfield Union Meeting House’s website https://unionmeetinghouse.org. Will Harris and Tom Ward will be going through a test run on July 6th at 7PM. Tune in on our page for some great music and plenty of trial and error.
Keep on the lookout for more information on subsequent events that will be sure to entertain while you relax at home with all the snacks you could ever want. While we may be apart this year, the Readfield Union Meeting House will continue to be here for the public as it has been for almost 200 years. We are beyond excited to connect with you all once again and fill this building with music and joy for another summer!
