A history of the nearly 200-year-old Union Meeting House has recently been published. This 140-page paperback comes from research done by late Historian, Marius Péladeau, author of more than a dozen historical publications.  Standing Tall, A History of the Union Meeting House, includes a Foreword by Earle G. Shetteworth, Jr., Maine State Historian. This is not just the story of a building; it tells much about the history of the town and the people of Readfield. You may find one of your ancestors included in the book!
